NHS Berkshire works very closely with our local unitary authorites: Bracknell Forest Council, West Berkshire Council, Reading Borough Council, Slough Borough Council, Wokingham Borough Council and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
Together we plan and provide services for our local populations.
The Overview and Scrutiny Committees are made up of local authority Councillors who monitor the day-to-day working of the NHS, call local NHS managers to account and must be consulted on any proposals that are being made relating to any major change to services.
